This month is shaping up to be the ice hockey month on the Fit across Cultures podcast. My guest on episode 46 is Ryan Minkoff, who made some waves in the international ice hockey world after a raw and honest account of his rookie season playing abroad in Finland. His article in Derek Jeter’s Players’ Tribune was what got us in touch. I was absolutely blown away by the authentic, transparent account of what he had gone through in Finland. Even more importantly, how he overcame adversity overseas and figured out a way to stay in the game and integrate in the small-town community.
